The Portions app / Your smart chef assistant

Everything starts
with one
simple question.

Your cravings. Your kitchen. Your kind of cooking. Meet the smart AI chef that helps you decide what to make—and make it your own.

What are you
craving right now?

You

Something cosy. I have pumpkin, carrots and chickpeas.

Your chef

Let’s work with what you have. How many people are you cooking for?

Illustrative conversations. The chef is available in the app.

A little more possible

A smart chef for the way
you actually cook.

An ingredient in the fridge. A recipe you want to change. A plan for the week. Start where you are.

01 / YOUR KITCHEN

Cook with
what you have.

Tell your chef what’s in your pantry and what you feel like eating. Work towards an original, complete recipe around your ingredients, time and servings.

02 / YOUR WAY

Love the idea.
Change the ingredient.

Don’t have it? Don’t like it? Talk through a substitution and how it changes the recipe. Keep the conversation going until the plan works for you.

03 / YOUR ROUTINE

Plan your meals.
Prep for your week.

Talk through meal planning and meal prep: batch cooking, lunches and recipes to make ahead. Tell your chef how much time you have and how many people you’re feeding.

It gets to know your kitchen

Less explaining.
More “that’s so me.”

How many people do you usually cook for? What do you love, dislike or need to avoid? What does a normal day of meals look like?

Your chef uses the preferences you review and save to guide new recipes. Add an optional calorie-planning target, or cook without one.

And it stays with you as you cook

Good cooking starts
with good know-how.

Original recipes are guided by Chef Handbook—a growing cooking reference built through study of respected culinary sources, including Serious Eats and Epicurious.

A little help, right when you need it

Questions don’t stop
when cooking starts.

Ask about a step, an ingredient or a change while your selected recipe stays in context. Your smart chef is there for the moments you want a little guidance.

Read the full recipe in one comfortable scroll, adjust the servings, set a timer and return to your saved cooking progress.

Prefer to say it? iPhone dictation transcribes on your device. Review your words, then send them to your chef.

Smart pantry & shopping lists.

Know what you have.
Remember what you need.

Keep pantry and shopping lists close to the cooking. Ask your chef for help with changes, then review before applying them.
